Our Story
The Barn Gym was founded in 2020 by Andy and Brit with a vision to create a fitness community that was different from the traditional gym experience.
Set on 8 acres in Cranbourne South, our unique location allows members to enjoy the benefits of training beyond the walls of a typical gym. With both indoor and outdoor spaces, you can embrace the fresh air and open surroundings while having options to train in every season.
Today, The Barn Gym offers group fitness and boxing classes, personal training, and team sport training, supported by a dedicated team of coaches. No matter your age, experience or fitness level, you’ll find a supportive environment where you can build strength, confidence and healthier habits.
More than anything, we’re proud of the community we’ve built. A place where members encourage one another, celebrate progress together and genuinely enjoy showing up each week.

ANDY FORD
CO-OWNER & PERSONAL TRAINER
Andy has over 10 years experience as a personal trainer and a background in both bodybuilding and powerlifting. He is passionate about helping people become stronger, more confident and develop a positive mindset both inside and outside the gym.
Favourite Exercise: Deadlift
Fun Fact: Has competed internationally for bodybuilding.

BRIT FORD
CO-OWNER, PERSONAL TRAINER & NATUROPATH
Brit has over 10 years experience as a personal trainer and is also a qualified naturopath. She loves helping people build strength, improve their health and gain confidence while creating a positive relationship with exercise.
Favourite Exercise: Squats
Fun Fact: Will happily talk gut health with anyone who asks.

KEN DICKERSON
PERSONAL TRAINER & GROUP FITNESS
Ken has over 15 years experience as a personal trainer and brings a diverse background in martial arts to his coaching. He has a strong interest in helping people improve not only their physical health, but also their overall wellbeing.
Favourite Exercise: Boxing
Fun Fact: Is also a breathwork coach.

CRISTIAN ASTUDILLO
PERSONAL TRAINER & GROUP FITNESS
Cristian has over 15 years experience as a personal trainer and is passionate about helping people improve their overall performance. With a strong interest in sport and athletic development, Cristian also works with sporting teams to improve strength, conditioning and performance.
Favourite Exercise: Bench Press
Fun Fact: Has represented Victoria in his youth for soccer.

MARIA TOTARO
GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR
Maria has over 4 years experience as a group fitness instructor and enjoys helping people build confidence through movement. With a supportive and encouraging coaching style, she creates an environment where members feel comfortable, but motivated.
Favourite Exercise: Running
Fun Fact: Has competed in multiple marathons.
